Sources, accuracy and image policy
Coffee Knowledge is intended as an educational reference. Accuracy is prioritised over confident-sounding simplifications.
Information sources
For production and botanical information, the site should prioritise authoritative agricultural, scientific and industry sources. For brewing guidance, established technical and educational references can be supplemented by clearly identified industry practice.
When a terminology dispute is meaningful, the site should describe the competing usage and identify where the distinction comes from rather than silently choosing one definition.
Images
Version 1 deliberately uses image placeholders. Replacement images should be sourced from a licence that permits the intended website use, and the final site should retain a record of the image source and licence. Suggested sources include Wikimedia Commons, Openverse, Unsplash and Pexels, subject to checking each individual asset's licence.
Important distinction
A description such as “often associated with” is not intended to mean “always tastes like”. Coffee flavour is influenced by multiple interacting variables, including genetics, environment, processing, roasting, grinding and brewing.
